He married Grace Gertrude Farrell in Charles County, January 22, 1918. Grace was born in Bushwood, MD October 27, 1899. Grace was the daughter of George N Farrell and Mary Delvenia Russell. Grace died January 5, 1980 in Landover, PG County, MD, at 80 years of age. Her body was interred in Ft. Lincoln Cemetary, Colmar Manor, MD. At 19 years of age Grace became the mother of Margaret Gertrude Jackson in Thompkinsville, MD, December 2, 1918. At 24 years of age Grace became the mother of Joseph Alfred Jackson March 4, 1924.

At 22 years of age Joseph became the father of Margaret Gertrude Jackson in Thompkinsville, MD, December 2, 1918. At 27 years of age Joseph became the father of Joseph Alfred Jackson March 4, 1924.

Joseph Andrew Jackson and Grace Gertrude Farrell had the following children:

27 ii. Margaret Gertrude Jackson was born in Thompkinsville, MD December 2, 1918. Margaret died September 5, 1994 in Melbourne, FL, at 75 years of age. Her body was interred September, 1994 in Ft. Lincoln Cemetary, Colmar Manor, Prince Georges Cty, MD. She married James Amos Lewis in St. Jeromes CC, Hyattsville, MD, August 4, 1940. James was born in Macclesfeild, NC August 4, 1917. James is the son of Amos Worrell "Mr. Bud" Lewis and Nola Elizabeth Edwards. At 27 years of age James became the father of John Gary Lewis June 19, 1945. At 26 years of age Margaret became the mother of John Gary Lewis June 19, 1945.
