He married twice. He married Edith Lambert. Edith was born 1902. Edith died 1979 at 77 years of age. He married Robbie Blackwell.

James Ashley Heflin and Edith Lambert had the following child:

4 i. Barbara Anne³ Heflin. She married Willard Leslie Hall Sr. Willard became the father of James Dorsey Hall October 5, 1957. Willard became the father of Edyth Stacy Marie Hall May 17, 1959. Willard became the father of Willard Leslie Hall Jr. August 1, 1961. (See Willard Leslie Hall Sr. for the continuation of this line.)

Barbara became the mother of James Dorsey Hall October 5, 1957. Barbara became the mother of Edyth Stacy Marie Hall May 17, 1959. Barbara became the mother of Willard Leslie Hall Jr. August 1, 1961.
