May 20, 1925. William Gorman Davis was in the moonshining business big time and served two terms in Federal penitentaries. While he was in
prison, Elsie was running around with a married man from Indian Head, MD. The man took Elsie to his house and his wife cam out with a
shotgun and killed her. The newspapers reported the wife was exonerated. This information is reported by Linda Reno.
William was born June 15, 1901. William was the son of William Edward Davis and Mary Etta Curry. William died January 20, 1971 in Baltimore, MD, at 69 years of age. At 21 years of age William became the father of Mary Louise Davis November 19, 1922. At 22 years of age William became the father of William Philip "Boy" Davis February 4, 1924.
