He married Millicent Eason in Macclesfield, NC, November 2, 1839. Millicent was born in Macclesfield, NC January 28, 1818. Millicent was the daughter of Joshua Barnes Eason and Martha Palmer Scarborough. At 28 years of age Millicent became the mother of Redden Jackson Lewis in Macclesfield, NC, September 29, 1846.

At 30 years of age Kinchen became the father of Redden Jackson Lewis in Macclesfield, NC, September 29, 1846.

Kinchen C. Lewis and Millicent Eason had the following children:
