2. Joshua Barnes² Eason (Coburn¹) was born in Edgecomb County, NC 1789.

He married Martha Palmer Scarborough in Edgecomb County, NC, July 8, 1812. Martha was born in Edgecomb County, NC 1794. Martha was the daughter of Major James Scarborough and Penelope Parmer Eason. At 23 years of age Martha became the mother of Millicent Eason in Macclesfield, NC, January 28, 1818.

At 28 years of age Joshua became the father of Millicent Eason in Macclesfield, NC, January 28, 1818.

Joshua Barnes Eason and Martha Palmer Scarborough had the following child:

3 i. Millicent³ Eason was born in Macclesfield, NC January 28, 1818. She married Kinchen C. Lewis in Macclesfield, NC, November 2, 1839. Kinchen was born in Tarboro, Edgecomb Cty, NC 1816. Kinchen was the son of James Lewis and Mary unknown. Kinchen died 1893 in Macclesfield, Edgecomb Cty, NC, at 77 years of age. At 30 years of age Kinchen became the father of Redden Jackson Lewis in Macclesfield, NC, September 29, 1846. (See Kinchen C. Lewis for the continuation of this line.)

At 28 years of age Millicent became the mother of Redden Jackson Lewis in Macclesfield, NC, September 29, 1846.
